4.8 from 7 reviews

A rich and aromatic pumpkin coffee syrup infused with warm spices and pure maple and vanilla extracts, perfect for elevating your morning coffee or latte with a cozy autumn twist.

Ingredients

Scale

Syrup Base

  • 3/4 cup water
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup canned pumpkin puree

Spices

  • 1 3/4 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp ground ginger
  • 1/8 tsp grated nutmeg
  • 1/8 tsp ground cloves

Flavor Enhancers

  • 1/2 tsp maple extract (add more for stronger flavor)
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Combine Syrup Ingredients: In a small saucepan over medium to medium-high heat, add the water, packed brown sugar, canned pumpkin puree, ground cinnamon, ground ginger, grated nutmeg, and ground cloves. Whisk the mixture thoroughly until the sugar dissolves and the mixture is smooth. Heat until it is just barely boiling, taking care not to let it come to a full boil.
  2. Thicken the Syrup: Reduce heat to medium-low and continue cooking for 2-3 minutes until the syrup thickens slightly. This step concentrates the flavors and improves the syrup’s consistency. Watch carefully to avoid scorching at the bottom.
  3. Finish and Store the Syrup: Remove the saucepan from heat. Whisk in the maple and vanilla extracts until well incorporated. Allow the syrup to cool completely before transferring it to a container. Store the syrup in the refrigerator and use as desired.

Notes

  • Adjust maple extract quantity based on preferred flavor strength.
  • Store syrup refrigerated for up to 2 weeks.
  • Use to sweeten coffee, lattes, or drizzle over pancakes and desserts.
  • Stir well before each use as ingredients may settle.
