Keto Hamburger Broccoli Skillet is a quick and flavorful low-carb meal combining seasoned ground beef with tender broccoli and creamy melted cheddar cheese, perfect for a satisfying ketogenic diet lunch or dinner.

Ingredients

Scale

Main Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef (80/20)
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Prepare Ingredients: Measure out the ground beef, broccoli florets, and shredded cheddar cheese. Wash and cut fresh broccoli into bite-sized pieces for even cooking.
  2. Cook Ground Beef: Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add olive oil. Once the oil is hot, add the ground beef and cook for 5 to 7 minutes until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula as it cooks.
  3. Add Broccoli and Seasonings: Stir in broccoli florets along with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, and optional red pepper flakes. Continue cooking for another 5 to 7 minutes until broccoli is tender but still retains a slight crunch.
  4. Create Creamy Cheese Mixture: Reduce heat to low, pour in the heavy cream, and add half of the shredded cheddar cheese. Stir well until the cheese melts and the mixture becomes creamy.
  5. Finish with Melted Cheese: Sprinkle the remaining cheddar cheese over the top, cover the skillet with a lid, and cook for an additional 2 to 3 minutes until the cheese is fully melted and bubbly.

Notes

  • Use fresh broccoli for the best texture and flavor, but frozen broccoli can be substituted if drained well.
  • Adjust seasoning to taste, especially the salt and red pepper flakes for extra heat.
  • For a lower fat version, use leaner ground beef and reduced-fat cheese.
  • Serve hot on its own or with a side of cauliflower rice for a complete keto meal.
  • Leftovers can be refrigerated for up to 3 days and reheated gently on the stovetop or microwave.
