Ingredients

Scale

Tea Bomb Base

  • 4 cup honey: A natural sweetener with antibacterial properties.
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice: Packed with Vitamin C to boost your immune system.
  • 1 tsp grated ginger: Known for its anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects.
  • 1/2 tsp ground turmeric: Helps reduce inflammation and improve overall health.
  • 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon: Offers antibacterial and antiviral properties, plus a lovely flavor.
  • 1/2 tsp echinacea powder (optional): Known for supporting the immune system, ideal for colds and flu.

Tea Leaves

  • 1 tbsp green tea leaves (or 12 green tea bags): Rich in antioxidants and forms the base of the tea bomb.

Additional Items

  • Silicone mold for shaping (small, round molds work best)

Optional Substitutions

  • Substitute honey with agave syrup or maple syrup for a vegan option.
  • Replace green tea with chamomile or peppermint tea for a caffeine-free alternative.

Instructions

  1. Mix the Ingredients: In a small bowl, combine honey, lemon juice, grated ginger, turmeric, cinnamon, and echinacea powder (if using). Stir thoroughly until the mixture is smooth and evenly blended.
  2. Fill the Molds: Using a teaspoon, fill each cavity of your silicone mold with about 1 teaspoon of the honey mixture. Press down gently to flatten the layer. Then, take your green tea leaves (or open tea bags) and press the loose tea firmly onto the top of the honey mixture, filling each mold completely.
  3. Freeze the Tea Bombs: Place the silicone mold in the freezer for 1-2 hours until the tea bombs are completely solid. Once frozen, carefully pop them out of the mold and store them in an airtight container in the freezer, ready for use.
  4. Make the Tea: To enjoy, place one frozen tea bomb into a mug and pour 1 cup of hot water over it. Stir gently until fully dissolved. Sip and enjoy the soothing, immunity-boosting benefits.

Notes

  • Use fresh ginger for the best flavor and potency.
  • Adjust the amount of honey according to your preferred sweetness.
  • The optional echinacea powder adds immune support but can be omitted if unavailable.
  • These tea bombs can be stored frozen for up to 2 weeks.
  • For a caffeine-free version, swap green tea with herbal tea options like chamomile or peppermint.
  • Always use hot, but not boiling water, to avoid destroying delicate antioxidants.
  • Use small silicone molds for easy portion control and quick freezing.
